It's Oscar Time

In Memoriam:

Actor Heath Ledger passed away today of an apparent drug overdose at age 28. He has been featured in great films such as 10 things I hate about you, A knight's Tale, The Patriot, Monster's ball, I'm not there, Brokeback mountain, and soon-to-be released The Dark Knight. He had a long career ahead of him, and he leaves behind his daughter Matilda with his ex-fiancee Michelle Williams. It was too early for you to die Heath, but I hope you are happier up there. RIP Heath Andrew Ledger (1979-2008).

On a lighter note, here is a list of the more significant Oscar nominations from The Associated Press:

1. Best Picture: "Atonement," "Juno," "Michael Clayton," "No Country for Old Men," "There Will Be Blood."

2. Actor: George Clooney, "Michael Clayton"; Daniel Day-Lewis, "There Will Be Blood"; Johnny Depp, "Sweeney Todd the Demon Barber of Fleet Street"; Tommy Lee Jones, "In the Valley of Elah"; Viggo Mortensen, "Eastern Promises."
